First, the oil consumption is too large
First of all, we must judge whether the diesel engine has external oil leakage; (Turn on the diesel engine until the outlet water temperature reaches 80 degrees, and check whether the gasket, seal, “O” ring seal, various bulkheads, pipe joints, rubber joints, etc. outside the diesel engine leak. Next, check whether the crankcase ventilation system of the diesel engine is obstructed; if the piston ring is badly sealed, the engine oil is burned into the combustion chamber or the amount of air leakage is too large, and the combustion gas accompanying the leakage of the engine oil is blown out of the engine body through the crankcase ventilation mechanism.
Second, diesel internal damage inspection, cut the boot oil filter, check the following items:
Metal: possible cause of particle failure
1, copper sleeve or connecting rod small head sleeve damage
2, chrome piston ring wear
3, lead bearing pad coating material is seriously worn
4, aluminum piston wear or damage
Third, the lubrication system fault diagnosis
To diagnose a fault in the lubrication system, all parts related to the oil must be checked, such as oil pressure gauges, engine oil, oil contamination, and oil viscosity.
Fourth, the oil pressure is too high
In cold weather, the oil pressure is usually too high after the diesel engine is started for the first time. It is also possible that the oil pressure control valve is stuck in the high pressure position, the oil level is too high, and the oil viscosity is too high.
V. Low oil pressure
Many lubrication system failures can reduce the oil pressure. When the oil pressure is found to be too low, first determine whether the diesel engine working conditions are normal, and then check the fault.
Possible causes: oil level is too low, oil filter is clogged, oil pressure gauge is damaged (check wire breakage, failure of pressure sensor components, leakage or breakage of piping), oil pump transient wear (this fault is generally If the diesel engine runs for a long time, the engine oil becomes thin. (If the engine oil becomes thin and the engine is dark, it shows that there is fuel mixture; if the engine oil is milky, it shows that the engine is mixed with coolant).
Diesel Generator Lubrication System
Parts that may have problems when mixed with engine oil:
(1) Oil cooler
Possible locations: Cracking of the cooler, loosening of the inlet and outlet oil flanges, damage to the gasket, and cracking of the cooler core.
Inspection method: When the diesel engine is running, the oil pressure is higher than the pressure of the coolant. If any of the above problems occur in the oil cooler, the oil will be mixed into the coolant. Open the radiator cover and you will see the organic oil in the coolant, and the coolant will overflow from the radiator.
(2) Intercooler
Analysis: If the intercooler leaks, the coolant leaks into the intake pipe and flows into the cylinder and leaks into the oil sump through the piston ring channel.
Inspection method: Remove the intercooler and check for signs of coolant leaking into the intake manifold.
(3), cylinder head seal aging damage, cylinder head gasket damage, cylinder head cracks, cylinder head water cavity cracks, body cracks (these problems, you can remove the oil pan, the cooling system pump pressure 140Kpa an examination)
Diesel leaks into the oil: diesel leaks from the piston ring into the oil pan (inside the cylinder combustion is not complete, unburned fuel will leak into the oil pan. The above situation is due to the compression ratio of the piston ring seal failure or the drop of the injector As a result of the oil); the increase in exhaust white smoke at the initial start of each day is a sign of oil leakage from the injector. Oil leakage from the injector will also cause the crude engine to run rough and reduce power.
